President - Dr. Wayne D. Scott, N4RAP
This is Wayne Scott, N4RAP and his wife Roshan. Wayne was overwhelmingly elected president of OMIK at the
50th Annual Convention held in Dayton Ohio. Wayne and his lovely wife and daughter live in Paris Texas. Wayne is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in private practice.Wayne's practice covers two hospitals with a vast referral area covering nine counties with patients from Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. In spite of his extensive medical practice Wayne still finds time to serve as president of the OMIK Amateur Radio Association and actively promote amateur radio on a regular basis. Wayne may be found on most of the bands from 160 through 2 meters. In addition to amateur radio Wayne likes to travel and participate in motor sport activities.
When asked how he finds the time for amateur radio he states: "We all are equal in that we all have only 24 hours in a day. We each must decide what we will do with that time. We all set priorities. For me the promotion of amateur radio is obviously high on my list of priorities."
