Version 3.42a Changes

(relative to Version 3.41)

Access and Control Modes

Receives DTMF commands properly when sending Morse code

DTMF up command accepted reliably without PL in Modes I/J/K

IUAC codes 0-299 work properly

In modes with PL or TT required and TT access down will not generate a hang time transmission in response to a carrier sending DTMF

DTMF commands accepted when Touch-Tone present at the beginning of a transmission in modes with PL access (autokeying Touch-Tone microphones)

Commands from users with reverse burst (PL) are accepted reliably

Receiver disable correctly removes rx audio path to tx, allows phone audio path to transmitter

TT down ID in speech switches to cw rather than stopping if interrupted

Transmitter turn on delay timer works properly and cannot be fooled by sequential keyups

IUAC command may be grouped into Group A or Group B

Touch-Tone Access user command may require IUAC

Touch-Tone Access Mode timer starts automatically when changing macro sets

With no VRT board installed, command responses are immediate in Morse code

Unkeying local mic doesn't cut off speech synthesizer; end of speech message doesn't cut off local mic

If Touch-Tone Access down, accepts IUAC with silent response (allows IUAC attribute on TT Access)

Tail Messages

Tail message may occur at the end of a transmission with an Initial ID (first keyup)

Courtesy Tones

Zero hang time works when programmed as Courtesy Tone characteristic

Telephone Interconnect

When using a remote phone line, there is no longer a delay to phone audio connect following each user unkey

Unanswered general reverse patch no longer leaves a random mailbox message.

Autodial slot 100 and 200 read back slot number properly

In Mute Dialing mode, a patch placed within a patch (such as when calling Sprint), dialing is properly muted

Patch timer may be extended any time during a patch

Repeater will not time out during a patch

In Mode B, a reverse patch may be hung up properly without PL

Patch redial "Repeat Dial' announcement does not go down the phone line with the potential for falsing the phone company's decoder

Remote Bases and Links

Link audio is muted during speech command responses

DTMF entered from the rb/link is muted based on COP selection of Mute, Unmute After #, etc.

Remote base frequency readback in Morse code says. instead of R for "point"

Remote base transmitter PTT drops when Touch-Tone is sent on the repeater channel

Courtesy tone is not transmitted back out the rb/link transmitters for tone type courtesy tones (message type courtesy tones still are)

Link 3 crosslink transmit command works properly ([prefix]8*)

Voice IDs may be interrupted by signals from the links

Full duplex link PTT is keyed by its COS only if in crosslink transmit mode

Differences between a Remote Base and Full-Duplex Link:

Remote Base:

Shut down when patch activated from another port

AP, EAD, UAD, Utility P&Q commands ignored from Remote Base port

Its COS doesn't key its PTT (considered half-duplex)

Full-Duplex Link:

Patches can be activated and clicked from Link port

Its PIT is keyed continuously during a patch

Its COS keys its PTT (if in crosslink transmit mode)

Alarms

Alarm announcement reliably times out based on Alarm timer

Voice Response Telemetry

24 hour time reads midnight as 0 hours instead of 24 hundred hours

Date stamp month on VRT min/max readings corrected

Internal telemetry readback at 100, 200, etc. reads correctly (not "one hundred zero")

Meter face 99 properly "clears an unused analog channel

Paging

Pages directed to remotes properly activate frequency memory 9

PL paging tone for PL voice pages is sent after paging prompt

PL paging tone increased from -9DB to -6DB

Format "A" can be used to clear a pager memory slot

Demo Messages, Bulletin Board, and the Mailbox

Callsign slots may be loaded with 1 character messages

Mail entry to/from an empty callsign slot (no call stored) is ignored

Callsign slot interference between certain slots eliminated

Bulletin board messages hold up to 24 characters, stored in E2pRoM

Assorted User Utilities

When spare audio is on, only Forced CW ID will be generated (no voice IDs)

DVR support implemented

RB Data state left properly for DVR

Scheduler

RAT enabled and set to non-zero value no longer disturbs scheduler

In generic response mode, COP interrogate macro set gives macro set number

Event messages to the rb/link implemented; waits for user to unkey, keys repeater tx as well as rb/link

Programming

Accidentally selecting *12x (1 digit for the callsign slot) no longer writes in spurious locations

Accidentally partially entering the *45dcc command is ignored

Morse code message editor adds Morse code "." as 40

Accidentally programming Antidial 10 and up no longer writes in spurious locations

Hardware

Repeater TX PTT sense Dip switch works properly

Link 1 and Link 2 PTT logic sense programming commands work properly

Control receiver and Spare Audio not affected by Link 3 and 4 COS logic sense setting

External device timer may exceed 70 seconds (was limited by hardware watchdog timer)
